Sanitation & Recycling Cancelled for Thursday February 24, 2022

Due to road conditions and the threat of continuing severe weather, sanitation and recycling services scheduled for tomorrow are cancelled. We will update with further information as it becomes available.

Trash Pickup to Start a Day Early

Due to last week's cancelation, Saint Robert Sanitation will begin making their way through the City tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th to collect any trash that may be at the curb. If your trash is not picked up tomorrow, normal trash routes will be ran Thursday and Friday of this week, as well.
City Prepares for Winter Storm

The City of Waynesville would like to take the opportunity in advance of the approaching winter weather system to reassure our citizens the City’s employees are prepared to respond to the forecasted conditions over the next couple days. We have been tracking and preparing for this event throughout the week, however, it should be noted the City has taken numerous precautionary measures to try and minimize the effect storm events like this may have upon our residents.

Opening date for Candidate filing for the 2022 Municipal Election is soon approaching. The City encourages anyone who would like to give their time to making Waynesville a better place for family and business to file for candidacy in their Ward. If you are unsure which Ward you reside in, you can refer to the Ward Map found here.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, also called the COVID-19 Stimulus Package or American Rescue Plan, is a $1.9 trillion dollar economic stimulus bill passed by the 117th United States Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 11, 2021, to speed up the country's recovery from the economic and health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing recession.
City Crew Complete Repairs to Roubidoux Walking Bridge

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020, several yearly events were cancelled leaving the banks of the Roubidoux quiet and somber. Those times are changing however, and for the good. Events are coming back and they are encouraging folks to put down their phones and enjoy the outdoors again.
City approved for Project CommuniTree, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri's free tree program

Executive Assistant Miriam Jones and Park Supervisor Trey Haragan applied and was approved for the Project CommuniTree, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri's free tree program. Forest ReLeaf of Missouri operates the only nonprofit community-assisted tree nursery in the region. Since 1993, more than 200,000 trees have been planted throughout Missouri and Illinois - projects that have increased tree canopy in low-income areas, assisted with reforestation after major weather disasters and those undertaken to promote peace and healing in our communities.
