Toth & Associates to Begin GIS Mapping of City Infrastructure

Starting Wednesday, the City's engineering firm, Toth and Associates, Inc., will be sending out teams throughout the City to start GIS mapping certain features of our utility infrastructure. these features include manholes, utility poles, utility service meters, etc. This is just one step in many that is being taken in order to help Waynesville become a "Smart City". It is our goal to implement a system that will allow us to monitor our utility and other vital services in real time. GIS Mapping is the first step in that process.

Trash Pickup to Start a Day Early

Due to last week's cancelation, Saint Robert Sanitation will begin making their way through the City tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th to collect any trash that may be at the curb. If your trash is not picked up tomorrow, normal trash routes will be ran Thursday and Friday of this week, as well.

The City of Waynesville would like to take the opportunity in advance of the approaching winter weather system to reassure our citizens the City’s employees are prepared to respond to the forecasted conditions over the next couple days.  We have been tracking and preparing for this event throughout the week, however, it should be noted the City has taken numerous precautionary measures to try and minimize the effect storm events like this may have upon our residents.
